fairyd123Back from a week of vacation and there are a huge number of stories to catch up on! Here's a few Supernatural stories as we lead up to the finale.

As the finale approachs I'm gearing myself up for all manner of horrible reveals in the finale (and the latest promo pics are not making me feel confident about John living a long and happy life)but whilst I'm resigned to whatever hackneyed twist the SN writers intend to throw our way I would love it if they took the approachtrollprincess does here. A story for all the Dean girls who are pissed that super special Sammy is getting all the attention.

A solid entry in the "Five Things that Never Happened to " genre. Five different snap shots of how Dean's life could have been. No.2 has unfortunately been done before in a similar fic (if you're going to do a five things Dean story I guess featuring a bad ass Mary is inevitable) and 5 is somewhat pedestrian although will chear up anyone who wants Dean to live a long and happy life. However, 1 and 3 are very strong and imaginative but it is the 4th ficlet that made this story a winner for me. Deeply disquieting and in the finest tradition of Stephen King's short stories it left my heart bleeding for poor Dean, John and Mary.
What I Keep and What I Carry bypoisontaster

This story is a prequel to an earlier ficlet which essentially had an ageing Sam and Dean running an X-Men style school for hunters. This story spans 17 years of Sam and Dean coming to terms with their relationship and the fact that they can't hunt forever. With a strong, sweet, believable romance at its centre this story is definitely worth a read.
All Paths Lead To byla_folle_allure

This story features two elements that I'm not normally a fan of - Evil Sammy and underage Wincest. I'm not an Evil Sammy fan simply because I have yet to read a fic in which Evil Sammy is portrayed as anything but a pantomime mustache twirling villain with a fondness for sexual sadism and underage Wincest - just ew! But despite containing elements that I'm less than enthralled with All Paths Lead To is an engaging story which depicts Sam utilising his gift of foresight to selfishly keep Dean at his side at all costs. Sam's manipulations are callous and motivated purely by self interest but you understand his twisted desire to kep Dean with him. The underage sex is also written in such a way that the ages are somewhat irrelevant. It all falls apart at the end with Sammy resorting to mustache twirling (I still maintain that the guy is way more frightening as a puupy dog eyed cutie subtly manipulating Dean while the world crumbles around them than he is as a subtle as a sledgehammer top with a pain fetish) but until then its quite a ride.

Dead Man's Blood coda Sam/Dean character death
Included simply because I have a major kink for Sam and Dean as vampires. Now what I would love to read is a piece with Daddy and Sammy as vampires hunting down and turning poor Dean against his will. Any other vamp Sam/Dean fics anyone want to rec?
