Series 4 Doctor Who Spoilers
Nov. 26th, 2007 11:32 pmPhotos apparently taken today from the filming of Doctor Who series 4 (spoiler phobes do not click):
Oh for the love of God!
So you're telling me that the
spoiler which sounded like a 13 year old girls fanfic which had Rose, Martha, Donna, Jack, Mickey, family Tyler, family Jones and Sarah Jane all teaming up in the Who finale was actually true?
Don't get me wrong I loved Billie - but the Doctor moves on, that's the point of his existence. Companions come and go. To bring back Rose is just to encourage the Doctor + Rose 4EVAH brigade.
The photos are slightly fuzzy and she's looking a lot thinner than when I saw her in Treats. Don't suppose there's much chance that its a stand in to give the allusion of Rose being there.
And geez BBC get a better grip on your location shoots - don't think you actually wanted the local kid with the camera to plaster photos of your "big surprise" all over the net!
Edited to say that I'm feeling slightly less dismayed now that I've read that this is rumoured to be the Doctor-lite episode which is going to be about a day in the life of a companion - that could potentially be quite clever depending on how its done. I love the idea of the Doctor's companions teaming up to save the world and him perhaps being none the wiser.

Date: 2007-11-26 11:45 pm (UTC)Apparently theres a rumoured press release tonight - guess we'll get the multi-companion press release photo before long then!
Guess all I can hope for is that JB gets some scenes with Liz Sladen - Jack and Sarah Jane is a pairing I could completely get behind!

Date: 2007-11-27 12:24 am (UTC)I do agree that I hope they don't try to push the 'Rose is the Doc's One True Love' line. My ideal situation at the moment is that it's either a flashback or hallucination, or a projection with Rose offering advice but also making it clear that she's happy in her new life. Maybe even married. With kids. But generally happy and not needing to come back. If anything, that would possibly help the Doctor move on a bit, he'd maybe feel less like he somehow damaged Rose's life. *ponders* Oh well, we'll have to wait and see.
Heartily seconding the SJS meets Captain Jack. They both save the world, but they do have such different styles, it'd be lovely =)

Date: 2007-11-27 12:36 am (UTC)Exactly. It was a good exit for Jack, like he had to leave TW to fully realise that it was where he wanted to be. It's a bit of a shame from that POV that they're meddling with it. But then again, so long as they have it that it's the Doc/Martha asking Jack as a favour - i.e. not Jack wanting to go - then I can buy it temporarily. Of course on the condition that (a) his leaving the Hub is not as big a deal, i.e. not another cliffhanger of him missing, and (b) he takes proper leave of his team and/or attempts to involve them with what's going on, maybe telling them they're staying behind because he's relying on them to be the second front should the Doc's plan fail.
Ah well. Those pics have certainly got folks talking. The anticipation/dread/wank starts now!

Date: 2007-11-27 12:41 am (UTC)No, she really did look better as Rose. I didn't know she suffered from eating disorders. I hope she's all right. She's one of few actresses I like because she looks so real.

Date: 2007-11-27 12:20 am (UTC)I'm not thrilled by the concept but if the team up is limited to the Doctor-lite then its not that bad.
