SCi-Fi Wire is the first place to list the extras from the upcoming dvd set:

So it looks like they're taking all the little featurettes from the single releases (which sucks if you're already bought them), the Torchwood Declassifieds and the deleted scenes and putting them on the dvd. I would have liked some new dvd only features which hadn't been on the single releases or the website but I'll live as long as John Barrowman is doing at least 1 of the 13 commentaries. His Doctor Who commentaries are great (well except Boomtown where he rather defers to Phil Collinson whose commentary is so dry it sends me to sleep). I'm hoping for a John/Gareth commentary or a full cast commentary. If its a John/Eve commentary I'll live but I suspect people won't be happy!

And that's why, having been caught out a couple of times in the past, I always wait for the boxset.

I can't imagine them not doing a John/Eve commentary given they do push them as the leads, but we can hope....

I didn't buy the single releases because they were obscenely priced for 3/4 epsiodes a piece. I confess I did "acquire" the extras from the last release and the deleted scenes from Out of Time were lovely (and should have been left in) and I liked The Captain's Log featurette simply for JB singing Anything Goes but John's video diary wasn't great unfortunately (it mostly seemed to be him and the other actors doing silly voices!). It would have been nice though for them to have had different extras for the full set release.

To be fair John and Eve together are adorable - its Jack and Gwen who aren't!As long as John is on at least 2 of the commentaries I'll be very happy. I actually hope that Burn does one - he doesn't seem to get as much press exposure as the rest and I'd love to hear what he thinks of the episodes.

The impression I have is that Burn avoids the media/fan stuff if he can..in the same way John Simms tends to do i.e. not rude or anything but not keen on the publicity so that may be why.

I'm don't find Eve and John together particularly adorable myself I have to say(but I am honest enough to admit that could be a touch of the "green-eyed monster" on my part). I certainly don't have an issue that they seem to be good friends - as long as it doesn't get brought into TW too much i.e. like you not keen on Gwen/Jack. Not too bothered who does the commentaries really - I am unlikely to listen to them unless they are done by John anyway.

I confess too that I have the extras and the eps from the first release whilst waiting to buy the box set as I anticipated that if we were lucky there might be a bit more on the boxset but that the original stuff was likely to be duplicated..and whilst I am happy to pay once, twice is pushing it!

I'm just miffed that they take so long to release the box sets! The mini-releases are such a ripoff.
Yes, I want a JB commentary or two as well. On his own would be nice, but I guess if it's with Eve or Gareth, I'll live...
