Any Dream Will Do
Jun. 10th, 2007 12:12 amJust back from watching the filming of the Any Dream Will Do finale and am pretty much a pile of incomprehensible squee at the moment.
John Barrowman, David Tennant and Lee Mead all standing a few feet away from me was more than my delicate system could bear.
I've completely wrecked my voice screeching for Lee (the audience was so pro-Lee I actually felt a little bad for the other performers).
More detailed report tomorrow but the show was absolutely fantastic. I was astounded by how utterly brilliant Lewis was live (well up to the point where he massacred Close Every Door) and felt it was such a shame he waited to the final to give his best performances. It was lovely seeing all the Josephs again (Craig, Ben and Daniel are much hotter in person than they ever looked on screen). I was also endlessly amused by the dress rehearsal of the closing moments of the results show. They kept repeating that they had simply picked the "winner's" name of a hat and that we weren't to read anything into it but if they had really wanted to rehearse the final moments they could have had both boys do it- as it was which Joseph do you think the BBC made sure rehearsed the final song before they went live?
Fantastic show and completely, completely the right result. Well, guess my task for tomorrow is to book tickets!

Date: 2007-06-10 05:11 pm (UTC)My heart was totally in my mouth waiting for Norton to announce the winner - even though I thought the result was obvious. I had taped it & just watched it today - made damn sure I didn't get spoiled for it.
Lee was very impressive, and totally a leading man. Yeah, I'll be going to see him too - at least once! (Oh who am I kidding - more like two or three times...)
It must have run over, because my tape stopped when Lee was still singing. Did anything else happen when he finished?
