I know I usually only post fic recs on here but I thought I'd branch out a little bit. So I'm a huge fan of the website Television Without Pity and have probably spent more time on there
than I care to think about reading their recaps. So I was overjoyed when they picked up Supernatural part way through the season. Demian's recap of the Pilot episode was both hilarious
and snarky and I had high hopes that the rest of the episodes would be recapped in the same manner. My hopes were cruelly dashed however, when I started reading Drunken Bee's recaps.
She clearly hates the show and doesn't think that the boys can act for toffee. Reading her recaps is an excruciating experience. I thought I was the only one who felt this way until I read the
awesome post on Innie_Darlings journal. So I thought I'd have a go at writing a recap off my own starting with Dead Man's Blood.

Another story written for maygra's birthday this is a heart breakingly angsty look at Dean and his relationship with Sam. The repetition of "In the Light" and "In the Dark" is particularly powerful.

In the light, they visit an Open House barbecue in a doomed suburb, and are mistaken for a couple "twice". Dean finds that so mind-boggling that he teases Sam
with it in front of half the neighborhood. How could anyone think they're that close when Sam has one foot out the door almost every day?

Another story by the same author this is a "five things" fic that covers the 5 senses. It has a beautiful dream like quality to it and the depictions of Sam and Dean are very tenderly drawn.

Dean holds Sam like he belongs here, like they belong Yin and Yang, Sun and Moon, together. In the quiet space inside Dean's arms, Sam can see now how true
that all is. All these years he was running away to get to Normal, he never saw that Dean was dying to be important enough for anyone to just stay
