Sam/Dean Dean/OMC
Inspired by the season 2 promo fic (and how much do I love The CW for releasing promo pics of our boys looking for all the world like rent boys) this is a well written, erotically charged piece with a disturbing and very original OMC.
Life Among the Dead bydestina

Long, slow, sensuous first time story filled with wonderful imagery. The story follows Sam and Dean over the course of a week and portrays their angst ridden slide into an incestous relationship in a very believable way.
Lying in Ruins bymikhale

Angsty Dean character study with Dean trying to reconcile three different views of his brother - Sammy the little brother, Sam the betrayer who left him for Stanford and the Sam that stays by his side. I love how Sam continually tries to reassure Dean with touch that he isn't going to leave him but Dean is never convinced.
For the Ones We've Lost My Soul Will Grieve byspinnyroses

If you read enough fan fic you'll guess the twist pretty quickly but it's a testament to the strength of the story that it's none the less affecting for it.
I love the current Five Things meme so here are some of my favourites:
Five Times Dean Told Sam He Loved Him byfuriouscupofcat

I confess I almost didn't click on this because I actually struggle with the concept of Dean declaring his undying love - it always rubs me the wrong way when I read it in fic but this story is all about Dean showing Sam how much he loves him without ever saying the words. The first drabble is wonderful - an incredibly vivid depiction of a little and terrified Dean running from the burning house with a squealing Sam in his arms. And the last one is pure unadulterated, wonderful schmoop which leaves you feeling all glowy inside. (Although do Americans use the word pub? Sometimes Brit words do rather stand out in fic) An excellent read if you're in need of a pick me up.
Also best username ever!

Five mini tales of Dean's utter devotion to his brother. From making baby Sammy happy, to breaking his own arm to stop Sam from riding into traffic, preventing Sam from being lynched by cruel classmates, saving drunken frat boy Sam from a werewolf to saving him from himself. Sweet and vivid.
