No, I should clarify, I have a tendency to ascribe motivations that are based soley on my tendancy to paranoia. I was kinda hoping this was a case of that. But I keep seeing other people thinking the same thing. Either this means that a. fandom is a paranoid place or, b. there is evidence to support it and we're all just intelligent enough to see it. Which is upsetting.
I was reading... somewhere... about how Ianto wasn't supposed to last beyond Cyberwoman (or whatever that ep was called) and that the show was initially intended to be The Jack and Gwen Show. I'm now thinking that RTD wants to get it back to what he originally wanted before he leaves and to hell with the consequences to the show's future.
